Captain AlItalia

Several years ago , I met a young  Airline Captain who has become a very close friend and with whom I have shared many     memories on both sides of the Atlantic.  Captain Maurizio de Benedetti   is one of AlItalia's most experienced Pilots and one of the the most fun loving guys you will ever meet.  Maurizio, whom I fondly refer to as the " Roman Chick Magnet,"  frequently drops in to New Orleans and adds a European Italian flavor with  both his cooking and  electric mannerisms.  In June of each year, he calls me up to coordinate his schedule to the USA  so as to pick  me up in his plane ..........along with 300 other travelers.
